Research on the situation of foreign students coming to study in Romania
Between 1 October 2018 and 30 March 2019, the Legal Migration Association from Romania will elaborate a study on the situation of foreign students coming to study in Romania. The objective of the research is to identify the problems faced by foreign students and the way they can be solved.
The research will be based on qualitative and quantitative analysis, the data being gathered both by applying a questionnaire with 22 closed and open questions as well as by free discussions held in at least 5 communication sessions with foreign students of different nationalities from Bucharest and Timisoara (groups of up to 25 people). During the meetings, they will also receive free assistance on various situations they face regarding the right of residence in Romania.
The information requested to be completed in the questionnaire concerns both the degree of satisfaction with the interaction with the public authorities (General Inspectorate for Immigration, Universities, Hospitals), as well as the way of integration in the Romanian society and the prospects for an even future professional in Romania.
The questionnaire is addressed to a number of at least 150 students in all university studies (bachelor, master, doctorate), our subjects being in the category of aliens from third countries.
